Spider Pet

This morning before school the kids found a huge spider. It became the object of much excitement and soon it had a house and a bed with its own lighting and food. It even got a ride in the pram losing one leg in the process. Confiscated after it seemed particularly traumatised but maybe I should have left it be.It is normal childhood behaviour after all but sometimes I take the control back without thinking it though. Then the usual guilt again
